Software Integration: Elektra Musterhausen AG, part 2

The SMSBLASTER.CH web edition has been successfully used in the field installation of the power station for information and coordination of external employees.

Soon, other departments were interested in uncomplicated, reliable and binding communication via SMS. By the time, many independent ASPSMS accounts were registered by different Elektra AG Musterhausen departments - a fact that was soon noticed by the Finance / Accounting department. Financial clerk Marlies von Büren thought that there must be a way to simplify that.

During a coffee break, Head of Finance and Accounting, Cyrill Radener learned about the matter. He presented it to the Head of Administrative Services Felix Bitter and got very positive feedback: almost all departments of the energy supply company felt the need to communicate via text messages. What was missing was only the standard tool.

An expertise was initiated by Felix Bitterer. ACME Software AG, the company supplying the integrated software package used by Elektra was assigned to develop an SMS-AddIn.

The SMS-AddIn, developed by ACME Software AG accesses the ASPSMS SOAP Web Service and is universally integrated in the company's software package.

Today, all departments of the energy company send text messages. Replies are sent to the mobile phones, to email inboxes or are systematically processed by the sending software module. depending on the individual configuration.

The needed ASPSMS credits are no longer bought uncoordinated per department but centrally budgeted and internally handled as communication costs.

Senta Beglinger, who had originally used the SMSBLASTER.CH web edition at her own expense and the clerk Marlies von Büren who had carried on the matter, were thanked for their suggestions for improvement by the management, each with a small reward.
